Unifeye Vision Partners Completes Partnership with High Desert Eye Center

Partnership represents UVP’s further expansion in the Inland Empire

Unifeye Vision Partners (“UVP” or “the Company”), a leading network of comprehensive eye care providers, today announced the completion of a strategic partnership with High Desert Eye Center, based in the High Desert of the Inland Empire in California. This practice represents UVP’s seventh partnership in California, and significantly expands its ability to serve clinical and surgical needs for patients in the High Desert.

Founded in 2003 by Dr. Shanmuganathan Chandramohan, High Desert Eye Center is located in Apple Valley, California with one clinic location and one ambulatory surgery center located just a mile apart.  As the only ASC providing ophthalmology surgical care in the High Desert, the addition of this ASC to the UVP community brings tremendous benefit to our referring physicians and patients who will no longer have to drive upwards of an hour to have any needed vision surgeries performed.

Effective May 1^st, Dr. Chandramohan has retired and has transferred all patient medical records to Pacific Eye Institute, UVP’s first and largest practice within the State.  Dr. Chandramohan’s clinical and surgical team members, along with a second comprehensive ophthalmologist, Dr. Juancho Remulla, are joining the Pacific Eye Institute team.  As such, the High Desert Eye Center brand will sunset, and these locations will become a part of the Pacific Eye Institute brand offering within the region.
