Surya Desiraju

Chief Operating Officer

Surya Desiraju has over twenty years of progressive leadership in both corporate and entrepreneurial environments. Prior to joining the leadership team as Chief Operating Officer at Unifeye Vision Partners (“UVP”), he served as Chief Operating Officer at Blue Sky Vision, a private-equity backed partnership of leading ophthalmology practices in the greater Michigan area. Before that, he served as Senior Vice President at Adeptus Health, the largest operator of freestanding emergency rooms in the United States, where he was responsible for 103 locations and over $500 million in revenue across four states. His experience as a seasoned operator also includes significant leadership positions at DaVita, Ford Motor Company, TRW, and Texas Instruments.

As Chief Operating Officer for UVP, he works with all the ophthalmology practices within the UVP community – helping improve efficiencies, implement best practices, and grow the business, all to help better serve patients, physician partners, and affiliated practices.

Surya received his MBA from McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and his MS in Industrial Engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
